                  INSTITUTE OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT established in 1987 as Kerala's first self financing education institution , the purpose and aim was to improve the technical education standards on a cost-sharing basis between public and government. Being the pioneer and catalyst in improving technical education in the state, IHRD  has now 15 Technical Higher Secondary Schools, 8 Polytechnics, 45 College of Applied Sciences and 9 Engineering Colleges under its wings.


        College of Applied Science, Mallappally is functioning under the aegis of IHRD since 1998 in Pathanamthitta district and offering three courses - UG programme in Computer Science & UG as well as PG programme in Electronics channelising the students towards the latest trends in science with technology.

        College has been the right channel for youth who wish to pursue their studies in latest technology of Electronics and Computer. This institution provides education that encourages creativity and independent thinking through innovative and versatile programs. The college explores the strengths of students and brings out the talents making them ready to face challenges in the world of technology. The college has a team of dedicated well-qualified experienced teachers who are putting their best efforts to produce a good output.
